Congratulations on your recent engagement! Now not being engaged myself I can only imagine the way that you're feeling right now. Yes these feelings are wonderful. But I implore you. Please please please do NOT let these feelings of joy cloud your judgment. As far as I can tell you are a pretty smart and savy lady.
So please. I beg of you. Whatever you do.
DO not force your wedding party, the people you love, to wear anything that looks like this:
Otherwise, God will kill 2 kittens for every member of your bridal party.

Regarding the dress, you know how the old saying goes: "Every time you see a bridesmaid in a Renaissance frock, ... God kills two kittens." Right?
RA's right -- I have definitely heard that saying before!

Hahahaha... I remember that picture from Janet's contest. You are a brave, brave soul.. and a good sport! I know someone who also had to participate in a Renaissance wedding. They're more common then you'd think!
