It's my favorite time of year.... MARCH MADNESS.
Those of you that have been keeping up with me over the years.... you've noticed that I am a little obsessed with my bracket.
It's been about 12 hours since the selections were made for this years tourney..... and I am once again, doing research, talking to friends and freaking out over who will win this years dance. Now last year I managed to pick all 4 final four teams, both final teams and the winner, which is why I am awfully puzzled as to why I did not write about it..... Needless to say this year I have some pretty high expectations.
Since I know many of you out there love the Tourney... and admit it some of you could careless- I have decided to make things a little more interesting for you all- with a contest (!!)
Here are the rules:
1. Go to this link. Fill out a bracket. ** Note I changed the link to make it easier for everyone.
2. Come up with a crazy team name.... this part is optional- but fun!
3. E-mail me your bracket by 11:00 AM EST on Thursday March 19th in order to be considered for the prize.
4. Points will be awarded as follows-
- First Round correct pick- 1 point
- Second Round Correct pick- 2 points
- Sweet 16 Correct pick- 4 points
- Elite 8 Correct pick- 6 points
- Final Four Correct Pick- 8 points
- Championship Correct Pick- 10 points
- CHAMPION Correct Pick- 20 points
The tourney begins Thursday and the Championship game is April 6th....So I will update you all with you totals at the end of each round.

Oh the prize.... I almost forgot.
The winner will get a $75 gift card that can be used at Old Navy, GAP and Banana Republic.

I want to do this, but I'm confused. Sports confuse me!! So I fill in who I think will win each game, all the way up to the championship, right?

For those who are confused... have no fear. I won a bracket contest one year literally by picking the team names that I thought sounded the best. Frankly, random chance is as close to a good system as you can get.
I'm excited!
Maybe you could clue me in and tell me what teams I am aloud to pick from.
That might help.
I did some google searching and found that it is a college basketball thing, this March Madness, but I don't really know where to start.
I am so going to do this, even though I really am not a sports person...but there's just one problem. I'm too dumb to find where to fill out a bracket. I clicked on the link, but then what do I do? Please hold my sports-dumb hand and walk me through this.

Are you going to keep us updated on who is in the top spots? I am having a hard time right now. I am not sure about the first round.
