Where were you when the new health care bill passed?
I think I was watching Dog Bounty Hunter.
What! I think there was a marathon on. It's not that I'm not interested. To tell you the truth I was very interested in the beginning of it all. I wanted to learn! About all of it! Every detail! I wanted to be a well informed member of society.
And then well... I got annoyed, and probably a little bored.
And then I only paid attention when I watched Jon Stewart.
Hey it could be worse.
You're all thinking, where is she going with this?

My good friend Dustin has challenged me and he's challenging all of us as well.
Dustin is going to read the bill in it's entirety.
No Seriously.
He wants to be well informed.
And you know what so do I.
Want to be well informed with us?

You're in luck! After every 20-50 pages or so, Dustin is posting summaries.. which will be open for comments, questions, etc. So even if you do not have time to read you can keep up.
I want to know what I am talking about if I ever get into a discussion with someone about the bill, you know over pints.
Or while I am sitting at home watching Dog Bounty Hunter.

You know, there are better ways to learn about the bill! With much less legalese. How about you go on over and read this: http://www.speaker.gov/issues?id=0004 You'll know a lot in a little bit of time!
Janet, you aren't the only one! Both of my parents now fear for my physical and mental health.
But I'm committed to doing it on my own, direct from the horse's mouth.

But... isn't this why God invented NPR? So we don't have to read entire bills? Just sayin'...
