Monday's Fact.

Today's facts are a tribute to your friend and mine: ALCOHOL

We love it. Nevermind that it sometimes gives us hangovers... but when it's only $1 for a draft at The AVENUE on Thursday nights... what's a little hangover at work on Friday morning.

Did you know?

Beer was the first trademarked product - British beer Bass Pale Ale received its trademark in 1876.

The original Guinness Brewery in Dublin has a 6,000 year lease.

In English pubs ale was ordered in pints and quarts…
So in old England, when customers got unruly, the bartender would yell at them “Mind your pints and quarts and settle down.”

That is where we get the phrase “mind your P’s and Q’s”.

It is estimated that at any one time, 0.7% of the world's population are drunk.

Drunk? Like.... drunk all the time? Or at any given moment? I think this statistic is way too low. I mean, it's 5'o'clock somewhere right?

Happy Monday drinking everyone!
