Tenure

me: UGH i am having so much trouble printing a damn envelope
Ari: if you kung fu the printer, that usually helps
me: i wish its like
the printer shows me which way to put i in
and then it doesn't print it right
Ari: biatch
me: it better do it right this time
or else
Ari: you tell it
me: damnit
me: whatever
i just printed labels
Ari: rock on
ms. resourceful
me: but i really just wanted to print 2 envelopes
Ari: use the typewriter
me: i dont think we have one
Ari: joanna's job has several in case you want to borrow one
she told them she's never used a typewriter in her life
me: i have
i took "typing"
in junior high
on an actual typewriter
Ari: were you in junior high in the stone age
me: in the same room my mom took typing
no
Ari: i was doing mavis beacon in 4th grade
me: it just had a lot of things like that
yea i know me too
so i got an A
lol
Ari: did you learn how to make fire afterwards?
me: shut up ass
Ari: or fashion a "wheel"?
me: no duh
i already knew that
Ari: was churning butter before or after lunch?
me: before
because school started at 5am
so we could milk the cows
Ari: did you have lunch? or did they call it hunting break?
me: that was dumb
Ari: well write it down on your stone tablet
me: u mean chisel it in?
Ari: use a cave wall if you have one handy
me: ahhh
yes
we didn't
Ari: i hear charcoal works particularly well
me: but anyway
the year after i took typing
Ari: right
me: the teacher retired
and the converted the room into a lab
Ari: and so did the equipment?
me: and i had chemistry in the same room the following year
yea
Ari: good
me: but it was kind of cool because my mom had the same teacher
in the same room
like 20 years before
Ari: and that's why tenure is a bad thing
