This is a long over due post, and many apologies to Julie who has been waiting for something to happen. I finally have something to report.
Last weekend, my boyfriend took me to a filming of the show Unsigned Acts. http://orangeunsignedact.co.
Not knowing what to expect, I naturally went along. We arrived around noon, having "priority tickets" I thought I would be in the front row sitting next to the equivalent to Simon Cowell, unless he was there, which would have made my afternoon that much better. (Yes, I have a strange crush on Simon). We arrived at the University of London and waited in a queue with other people. Having "priority tickets" meant that we got to enter first...to a room that was a standing room. They created a set to make it look like we were at a real intimate rock concert where people would rock out.
They introduced the judges and I had no idea who any of them are. Apparently, they are well known in the UK. Then it was time for them to introduce the celebrity judge: Kelly Osborn. Knowing this was going to be a fantastic story for Julies blog, I tried to get up close and take pictures. She is actually prettier in person and not as massive as she looks on TV.
Overall, there were four bands and they were decent. Only one of them were voted to the next level.
Later that evening, as I was walking home, a fancy Land Rover was stopped at a traffic light. Now I always look into Land Rovers in this neighborhood to catch a glimpse of who it might be. Right away I saw this person and said, OMG I know who it is! It was Tommy Hilfiger. Thank goodness for MTV where I watched that reality TV show years ago about his daughter and that friend of hers. I totally reconginzed him right away. And it made sense that he was on the road I saw him on, since his store is about a 10 min drive away.
Anyway, thats the updates on London. I still have heard more Kate Hudson reports and sitings but I have yet to see her.

Gwyneth Paltrow isn't greedy when it comes to London's good eats.
In fact, the actress, 36, who spends the school year in the city with her family – husband/rocker Chris Martin, daughter Apple, 4, and Moses, 2 – is more than hungry - err, happy, to share her input on some of the London's best restaurants, pubs, and hotels.
"Moving to a foreign city for part of the year has been incredible and continues to be a great experience,” Paltrow writes in the latest edition of her GOOP newsletter. "When nothing is familiar, you are constantly observing, asking questions and discovering."
Her favorite finds?
"I'm going to pull the trigger and declare [La Petite Maison] restaurant as my absolute favorite in London at the moment,” she writes.
"It is based on the restaurant of the same name in Nice, so the food has a very southern French soul. Plates come small and to share, so you get a taste of many beautiful dishes … The black leg roasted chicken is so good I started eating chicken again."
And what better to wash down the fowl than a pint at one of London's many pubs. Her favorite: The Grenadier on Wilton Row.
"I used to live in the crescent that this pub sits behind," she writes. "It is tucked away in a cobblestone mews, and it has great beer and a fireplace."
Oh my gosh, I can't beleive you saw Tommy Hilfiger! Don't get me wrong, Kelly Osbourne is impressive, too, but seeing a celeb at a show taping is a bit less exciting than just randomly seeing someone one the street -- if only for the random surprise factor.
It won't be long now before your rubbing elbows with Gweneth.
