Lesson #30

Gradirei un martini asiutto, prego.

grah-dee-ray oon mahr-tee-nee ah-shyoo-toh pray-goh

I'd like a dry martini, please.

It's nice to know that martini is universal in all languages.
:)
What a way to wrap up NaBloPoMo.

Lesson #29

Soltanto pensare a lui mi esaure.

sohl-tahn-toh payn-sah-ray ah loo-ee mee a-zow-ray

I'm exhausted just thinking about it.

I feel like this today, so it's appropriate.
This time of year is always busy for me.... not as busy as the end of the summer, but almost.

One more day of NABLOPOMO, I cannot believe it's almost over.

11.28.2007

Lesson #28

Guadagno sempre il peso a questo periodo dell'anno.

gwah-dahn-yoh sehm-pray eel pay-zoh ah kwehs-toh peh-ree-oh-doh del-lahn-noh

I always gain weight during this time of the year.

UM WTF!
Good thing this stupidity is almost over.
Seriously. I don't even want to tell people that in English let alone Italian!!!

Sheesh!

Lesson #27

Lesson #26

La speranza e l'ultima a morrire.

la spare-ahn-za eh lool-tee-mah ah more-eer-ay

Hope springs eternal.
(Literally it says Hope is the last to die).

Well isn't this uplifting today.
I mean, I doubt that you will ever use this one, but still, warm and fuzzy thoughts!!

Nothing much is going on today.
It was realllllly tough getting up for work this morning.
Especially since Tim is off until Wednesday.
Look back here later for some really funny pictures and videos from Thanksgiving!

11.25.2007

Lesson #25

E quello la Sua offerta la piu miglore?

e kwehl-loh la soo-ah awf-fehr-tah lah pyoo meel-yoh-ray

Is that your best offer??

Whew.
We are finally home from Warrensburg just in time to watch the Patriots squeak by the Eagles to win. What a nail bitter. There was just a little bit of traffic near Sturbridge, which always happens, but other than that it was uneventful.

Bailey is doing wonderfully.
When we got home tonight she immediately went after her ball to play. But we had to stop her because the vet said no running, jumping or playing for 10-12 days!! Can you imagine!! It's only day 5 post surgery. It's going to be a long next few days.

11.24.2007

Lesson #24

Il museo e chiuso ai lunedi.

ell moo-zay-oh eh kyoo-zoh igh loo-neh-dee

The museum is closed on Mondays.

Is today Saturday or Sunday?
I cannot figure it out.

We went to the outlets late yesterday.
But I think we are headed back again today sometime. They weren't as busy as we thought that they were going to be.

I think that everyone is probably shopping more and more online.
Considering gas is almost 3.50 up here in upstate NY...I cannot blame them.

Have a good day everyone!

11.23.2007

Lesson #23

Piu dei rifiuti.

pyoo day ree-fyoo-tee

More leftovers.

If you think about it, Thanksgiving is all about food.
Well I mean it is also about being thankful for people or other important things in your life.
But mostly it is about the food.
What is everyone's favorite dish from yesterday?
What do you do with your leftovers??? Any secret family recipes out there?

Oh and for those of you in countries that don't celebrate Thanksgiving... Tell me all about your day yesterday :)

I am demanding today huh??
Must be all the turkey I ate yesterday....

11.22.2007

Lesson #22

I love turkey with gravy.

We're finally here in Lake George (actually Warrensburg,NY) after waking up at 630 and finally leaving Boston around 830.
Tim has already been outside playing

Dinner is at 4pm.
:)

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!

Andro a casa per le feste.

I'm going home for the holidays.

Well not really.
We are headed to Lake George, NY to visit with family until Sunday.
So I am going to try to post everyday, but I am not sure If I will have internet.
(I probably just shot this whole NaBloPoM0 thing to hell) Oh well.

Bailey is back from the hospital (!!) and slowly recovering.
Tim's upset because she's not acting like herself, but I know she's just tired.
I took pictures of her incision in her belly, because I am gross like that.
So if you want to see those let me know.

Have a good turkey day everyone!

11.20.2007

Lesson #20

What are all of your plans for Thanksgiving?
Tell me I must know.

Meme to Keep me occupied

So Bailey is in surgery right now, and I am with Tim at work because I cannot bear to go home alone. Another sleepless night. Oh well.

I'll take them all.

Lessons #17, 18, 19.

I don't have much energy today.
Bailey was sick a couple more times during the night.
Tim actually called over to the Doggie Emergency Room and they said that we should bring her in just in case. But by the time he came home around 3am from work she hadn't been sick again for over 2 hours and then was up and energetic and playing with her ball.
So we both stayed up until around 4am watching her and petting her and loving her.
She made it through the rest of the night without getting sick, so we're going to call the Vet today to see what she thinks.

But I think that she will be Okay. She may have had one too many table treats from the Wii Party on Saturday night. Hopefully that is all it is and she will be back to her normal self by the time I get home from work at around 11pm (!!). God what a day.

Thank goodness I only have 1 and half more days of work and then I am up in Lake George, NY until Sunday.

Like it or not, I have Italian times three today for you all, since you know, you missed it over the weekend.

Saturday's

Ritengo un freddo nell'aria.

ree-tehn-goh oon frayd-doh nehl-lah-ree-ah

I feel a chill in the air.

Sunday's

Maria, prego che apparecchi la tavola pella cena.

mah-ree-ah pray-goh kay ahp-pah-rehk-kee lah tah-voh-lah pehl-lah chay-nah

Marie, would you please set the table for dinner?

Today's

Portero la frutta?

pawr-teh-roh lah froot-ath

Shall I bring dessert?

11.18.2007

UGH!!

After working all day at job #2, coming home and finding the following makes me sad:

1. Bailey got sick sometime in between Tim leaving for work at 4 and me coming home at 9pm.
2. So I got to clean that up as soon as I got home.
3. When I went into the bedroom, I found a wet towel on the bed.
4. GRRRRR.
5. Tim took out the wrong type of meat for me to cook tonight.
6. It's not that big a deal.
7. But after finding #1 and #3, It is a big deal.

So now I am going to bake some chicken and try not to scream.
:)

11.17.2007

Wiiiiii- kend

You all are lucky because I forgot to bring home today and tomorrow's Italian phrases.
Nothing much going on today. Tim and I are watching the Michigan vs.Ohio State game right now and I am getting the apartment ready to have a few friends over tonight for some Wii and wine. That should be fun fun.

Oh here's something interesting:

Here are some events that happened on this date in history:

1558 Elizabeth I ascended to the English throne upon the death of Queen Mary.

1800 Congress held its first session in Washington, D.C., in the partially completed Capitol building.

1869 The Suez Canal opened in Egypt, linking the Mediterranean and the Red seas.

1968 NBC outraged football fans by cutting away from the final minutes of a game to air a TV special, "Heidi," on schedule. Viewers were deprived of seeing the Oakland Raiders come from behind to beat the New York Jets 43-32.

1973 President Richard M. Nixon told an Associated Press managing editors meeting in Orlando, Fla., "I'm not a crook."

Have a good Saturday everyone!

11.16.2007

Lesson #16

I have already had a shitty morning.
I think I am going to head out of work early today.

WA WA WA WA.

11.14.2007

Lesson #14

Ha stato mai a Londra?

ah stah-toh migh ah lawn-drah

Have you ever been to London?

No I have not yet been to London.
But LK and I are planning on it soon!
(And I am obsessed with BBC America, so I should assimilate well).

In more important news, I had the sneaking suspicion on Monday that Bailey ate one of my socks.
I caught her gnawing at it on Saturday night while I was trying to get to sleep, so I took it away from her and put it with another pile of laundry. When I went to clean up on Sunday, there was no sock to be found, even though I knew I had placed it in the pile.
WTF!
Is this normal?? We have had Bailey for three years and she has never eaten any of our socks.

Anyway, I got a phone call from Tim while he was out walking her yesterday.
Let's just say that it confirms my suspicions.

How rude!
(Hello Stephanie Tanner)
